Who publishes this
This site is written and maintained by a private individual, in a personal and non-professional capacity. It is published on a non-commercial basis: it carries no advertising, accepts no sponsorship, and has no commercial relationship with any manufacturer or club. Correspondence goes to [email protected].
How the pages are written
Each page answers one question and is written to be read once and used twice. Three rules apply throughout. Figures are arithmetic you can repeat, normally a dimension divided by a scale ratio, so you can check them against your own sources. Where the site expresses a preference, the criteria are printed next to it, so the reasoning can be argued with rather than the verdict. And nothing is scored out of ten, because a score without criteria is a decoration.
What is not collected
No cookies. No analytics. No tracking pixel. No third-party script of any kind. No font, image or stylesheet loaded from another server. No comment system, no account, no newsletter, no form. The pages are static files, and the only record of a visit is the ordinary log kept by the host, which the site does not read or analyse.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, write to [email protected] with the address of the page and the correction. Corrections are made on the page itself and the review date at the foot of the site is moved. That date is the only version marker the site keeps.
Images
Photographs illustrate the subject of the page they appear on. They are not offered as documentation of any particular kit, manufacturer or specific aircraft, and no measurement should be taken from them.
Copyright
The text is the work of its author. Short quotations with a link back are welcome. Wholesale copying is not, and republication of whole pages is refused as a matter of course.
Hosting and technical notes
The site is a set of static HTML files served through a commercial content delivery network. There is no database and no server-side application. Addresses that do not exist answer with a permanent redirect to the home page rather than an error page. The list of pages is published at sitemap.xml.
